Athletic director Bob Pearson from Berry College came to talk to us today in our sports administration class. He gave each of us a hand out that had a list of quotes and asked us individually to comment on any one quote. I really thought that it was an interesting approach to get us thinking about what the quotes really meant to us and how they apply to the sports world, he also talked about what each quote meant to him as well. At the beginning of the speech he also so gave us a whistle, a clip, and a bright yellow note card which represented how each one is valuable in a different way. The quote that was asked to me was “Enjoyment, pure and simple, should be experienced in sport, on the job and in your everyday life”. My response was that what you put into life you should enjoy it and feel proud about it. I enjoyed his visit and speech and afterwards we all took a group picture.
