Internship - career explorations 6 -10
As I did My Internship- Career Exploration 6-10 I found some really good jobs that I would enjoy a lot that were in my area of interest. I found my Internships through the jobsinsports.com web site. The First Internship that really stood out to me was The Detroit Tigers- Amateur Scouting Internship. This internship includes tasks such as watching and analyzing highlight videos and assisting Scout directors and making notes on the outstanding players. This sounds like a big job but I think it would be an excellent networking tool for me, for challenging and an invaluable experience. Another Internship that I found was working the scoreboard for the Detroit Tigers and managing the operation of a game. I would meet new people and learn different skills than I have ever had the opportunity to be exposed to before.
Graduate assistantship 1 - 5
I had a great time exploring the different Institutions for my graduate Assistantship. My First choice included institutions like University of Miami, Canisius College, and Kent State. All of the institutions and programs that I read over and looked through all seem appealing to my areas of interest. Some of the programs offered Masters in Sports Administration whereas others offered masters in Kinesiology and Sports Management. Most of the institutions that I found are very small but their sports study programs seem to be very popular. I think this is because this area of the sports industry is growing very rapidly. I have a lot more research to do but it could be that one if these programs is where I go for my next steps after graduating from Reinhardt University.
